Blueray (Commelina forskaolii) is a plant species in Commelinaceae, annual or perennial shrubs, forming mats, thin roots, long stems, semi-erect or upright, up to 30 cm high, long leaves and green, blue flowers with yellow and transparent.
C. forskaolii has a long stem with rooting in vertices and short sub-erect branches, green, yellow and white. The leaves are arranged alternately, elongated in shape, the base of the midrib, the sharp tip, a large bone in the middle with several linear pulses, flat margins and green.
Flowers in terminals or spathes, beak-shaped and rough-haired, the crown has two screens, short-lived and successive opening. Light blue petals, lateral stamens with more or less winged filaments.
Blueray grows in the tropics at sea level to moderate altitude, much of it is found wild on roadside, grassy areas near agricultural fields and prefers habitats that are fully open or slightly shady.
