Swamp fern (Cyclosorus interruptus) is a species of plant in the Thelypteridaceae, a terrestrial fern with rhizome roots, erect stems and black or green color with a rough surface, creeping up on the ground in open or slightly shaded areas, generally on roadsides, former plantations and forests.
C. interruptus has compound leaves with finger shapes, minor leaves arranged alternately for 2-6 cm long and 0.5-1 cm wide, jagged and rough edges, sharp tips, green color with minor leaf arrangement getting smaller and smaller or conical or ending in a strand.
Sorus is produced by slimmer leaves and black stems, appearing on the underside of the leaves forming a line along a serrated outer edge, silver or blackish brown in color, round or striped.
The swamp fern grows at a humidity of around 75% on forest floors and untreated lands, covers surfaces in large or solitary communities and is mixed with other species, often being mediated by climbing plants.
