Magenta rustgill (Gymnopilus dilepis) is a species of fungi in the Hymenogastraceae, has the shape of an umbrella, is white with a magenta tinge, the cap has a rough or peeled surface, the stem has a flat surface, grows on wood or dead trees in forests, rice fields or human settlements.

G. dilepis has a round or bowl-shaped or half-ball cap with a rough or chipped surface, white and magenta in color. The lower surface has large, forked gills, white to magenta in color.

Stems are cylindrical, straight or bent at the base, stand upright, smooth surface, white with a magenta tinge and grow single. Magenta rustgill appears early in the rainy season on rotten logs or dead trees in forests, farmland to roadsides and settlements.

A deep-sea isopod Bathyopsurus nybelini adapted to feed submerged Sargassum algae

NEWS - Incredible footage shows a marine species, Bathyopsurus nybelini , feeding on something that sinks from the ocean’s surface. Researchers using the submersible Alvin found the isopod swimming 3.7 miles down using its paddle-like legs to catch an unexpected food source: Sargassum.
