Genggeyan or lesser roundweed (Hyptis brevipes) is a species of plant in the Lamiaceae, annual shrub, erect, up to 1 meter high, stems square, green, hairy, grows in forests, agricultural land, roadsides, waterways and wastelands.
H. brevipes has hairy leaves, sitting opposite, narrow ovate or lanceolate, 5-7 cm long, 2 cm wide, pointed at the base and tip, irregularly serrated edges, green with a main vein in the middle with several small pinnate veins.
The inflorescences are dense racemes, almost spherical, up to 14 mm in diameter, peduncles about 1 cm in the axil of the uppermost leaf. Corolla or petals are white, 5 lobes irregular and 5 mm long. The petals are 4 mm long, 5 lobes narrow and prickly.
Seeds are ovoid, 1 mm long, dark brown to black in color, indistinctly lined with prominent scars.
