Jungak (Ophiorrhiza mungos) is a species of plant in the Rubiaceae, herbaceous, erect, about 50 cm high, cylindrical stem, single or branched, green, hairy, fibrous roots, grows on the shady forest floor and usually forms colonies.
O. mungos has oval or oblong or elongated leaves, flat margins, blunt or pointed tips, green, wavy surface, a major central vein and many pinnate minor veins. Leaves have stalks and sit opposite.
The inflorescence is in a radial panicle at the upper end of the stem, stalked and branched, cylindrical, erect and green. The crown is trumpet-shaped and white.
