Kuhl's angelhead lizard (Gonocephalus kuhlii)

Kuhl's angelhead lizard (Gonocephalus kuhlii) is a species of animal in the Agamidae, medium size, basic color green or yellow or brown, eyes protected by movable petals and surrounded by a slightly dark color, has the ability to change color by mood changes and sexual dimorphism.

G. kuhlii has a short head with a triangular shape. The head scales are medium in size, variable, smooth and have a few tubercles that extend above the ears. Heterodont teeth with acrodont type, the dorsal tongue is covered by reticular papillae.

Having an external ear canal, the tympanic membrane stands out about half the diameter of the eye when it is open. Flat tail with a cylindrical tip. The tail has a function as a stabilizer when moving in the trees. Color pattern of dark and light rings.

The limbs are relatively long and slender. Each limb has five fingers equipped with sharp claws for semi-arboreal adaptations as a tool for gripping tree bark and moving easily to chase prey or escape from predators.

Kuhl's angelhead lizard lives at an elevation of 500-1600 meters in tropical rain forests, near rivers, with sufficient lighting with certain soil and air humidity. Tend to be diurnal, tend to be inactive at night and sleep in a vertical position.
