Montbretia (Crocosmia crocosmiiflora) is a species of plant in the Iridaceae, erect, growing to 90 cm long, at the base as a tuber with swollen underground stems that last one year, long ribbon-shaped leaves and flowers in panicles.
C. crocosmiiflora has long ribbon-shaped leaves, leathery and stiff, green, flat or serrated margins and a vein in the middle.
The flowers grow in rows in panicles at the ends of long, branching stalks. Star-shaped flowers, up to 5 cm long and orange.
