Uya (Chloranthus elatior) is a species of plant in the Chloranthaceae, shrub, erect, up to 2 meters high, branched, cylindrical stems, branches enlarge and form tridents, smooth and shiny surface or white spots, dark green and blackish branches.
C. elatior has leaves that sit opposite, stalks 5-13 mm long and blackish green.
Strands oblong rounded or can be oblong elongated, 10-20 cm long, 4-8 cm wide, thick, glabrous, dark green and glossy upper surface, pointed base and tip, toothed margin, a main vein in the middle and many small veins pinnate.
The flowers are in panicles, have long and branched stalks, are white and small. The fruit is green when young, white when ripe, round or elongated.
