Javan plover (Charadrius javanicus)

Cerek jawa or Javan plover (Charadrius javanicus) is a type of animal in the Charadriidae, lake birds or shorebirds, 15 cm long, short and black in color, living near waters including coasts, lakes, rivers, reservoirs and sandy meadows.

C. javanicus has brown and white colors in males and females. The head is more reddish-brown, the legs are pale and the stripes on the chest are not black. The white color of the back collar usually does not connect. Iris brown, bill black, limbs gray olive green or pale brown.
