Giga grass (Cymbopogon rectus)

Giga grass (Cymbopogon rectus) is a species of plant in the Poaceae, perennial, growing in clumps, up to 3 meters high, having many large fibrous roots, erect or sloping stems, clustered, hollow, green to yellow in color.

C. rectus has ribbon-shaped leaves, like paper, curved, increasingly pointed towards the end, green, a large linear bone in the middle and a rough surface.

Flowers in panicles and grows at the tips. Giga grass grows wild in colonies on forest slopes, roadsides, abandoned land and elevations up to 1000 meters.
