Ekojiwo (Epithema horsfieldii) is a plant species in Gesneriaceae, terrestrial herbs, undershrubs, succulents, single leaf at the end of a stalk, attached to the soil surface, growing in damp places, waterways, rock cliffs in karst and limestone landscapes.
E. horsfieldii has a large, thick, heart-shaped leaf, rounded tip, toothed margin, white haired sides and coarse. The upper surface is green and the lower surface is reddish green.
A main vein in the middle, bright green in color, several smaller veins pinnate and branching. The center of the leaf is also where the flowers appear.
Inflorescences in panicles, have long stalks, erect, coarse white hairs, the bottom is blackish and the top is green. Capsule-shaped flower buds. Trumpet-shaped crown, white and blue tip.
