Painted abutilon (Callianthe striata) is a species of plant in the Malvaceae, a shrub or small tree, up to 5 meters high, leaves with a tinge of green and yellow, up to 20 cm long, up to 17 cm wide, 3-5 lobes, toothed margins, 15 cm long stalk and cylindrical in shape.
C. striata has bell-shaped flowers, yellow to orange and red with prominent dark red veins, 5 petals 2-4 cm long. Flowers have stalks up to 12 cm long. This species grows in forests, roadsides, abandoned lands and so on.
